Pochettino to Man United deal hangs in balance after disappointing loss to Real Madrid

Mauricio Pochettino keeps a manager to watch as Manchester united prepares to replace sacked manager Ole Gunnar Solkjear who left the club in November Last year.
Ole was shown exit after a poor spell of results and later replaced by interim manager Ralf Rangnick who is occupying the managerial seat up to the end of the season. The German interim manager will step down his current managerial duties early July this year to carry on consultancy duties for a period of about 18 months to fill up his appointment contract of 2 years with higher hopes of him advising on who the next manger should be, and also being a key man in transfer affairs.
Top managers have been identified for the job but Pochettino and Eric ten Hagg still top the list with the likely big names of Zinedine Zidanne, Brendan Rogers and some more.
Pochettino has had his name among the unsuccessful managers of this world after losing out trophies on a number of occasions. However, this does not weigh down his credentials as a top professional manager who brings up the football in his philosophy to pull up some show.
currently, Manchester United is looking up for a manager who can bring up a new identity of football to reflect the club history and bring silverware. All Manchester United wants now is trophies and not vibes and speeches.
Speaking to Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand, Pochettino gave his views of how he would shape united.
Poche: ” My first job as a manager in any new club is to identify myself to the history, culture, beliefs of the club and respect for what the fans want.”
” While I also have my own philosophy and beliefs, I do not rather implement them immediately but find a possible way of aligning them to the club overtime.” Pochettino said in response to how long it would take him to have positive results at a new club.
Ralf Rangick is believed to be a supporter of Pochettino and could possibly endorse him as his successor at the club according to speculations. This however is not guaranteed by the Germany international and the Manchester United board, subject to all manner protocols.
Manchester United is now in the fifth position of the premier league, 1 point behind Arsenal Fc who sit 4th on the table with two games-in-hand. Manchester United is currently targetting a place in the champions league and also has higher hopes of winning the champions league should they beat Atletico Madrid Next week in the round of 16 second league at Old Trafford.
