The Goalless fixture ended in penalties, Sadio Mane missed a determinant one before Mount gifted Liverpool

Liverpool’s glory days are at the apex after winning their second trophy of the season against common finalists, Chelsea FC.
Louis Diaz was the official man of the match despite being withdrawn from the pitch in extra time..
The second final of the season between the two English clubs ended goalless after extra time and was determined by penalties.
Chelsea Captain Cesar Aziplicueta hit the post in the first round of spot kicks. Sadio Mane had the chance to end the game when his spot kick came as the determinant one in the First round. He however shot straight to the hands of fellow country man Eduardo Mendy to level the shots. A second round was called on and Ziyech shot past Allison Becker.
Mason Mount’s shot was punched by Allison Becker and Kostantinos Tsimiska’s left shot sent Mendy to Senegal, handing Liverpool another trophy.
This was the second final between the two clubs after the league cup finals which also ended in dramatic penalties.
Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool still have a chance of winning 4 trophies this season with 3 points behind Manchester City and two games to play for both teams and the champions league final against Real Madrid on 28th May 2022.
